The story

Easy games — but you still have to win the title.

Another day out, this one the closest we’ve played — barely two kilometres from home. Like the Decathlon cup a day earlier, it was really about going out and enjoying football, and the opposition wasn’t much of a test.

But that’s a lesson of its own: even against easy-going opponents, you still have to play well to lift a trophy. Tournaments like these are where the habit of winning gets built — and a chance to experience football right in the neighbourhood.

Avyaan was, simply, fantastic — a goal contribution in every game, and a goal in every match he played. After titles like the DPDL, this is the level you come to expect of him. Eight goals, eight assists, and a very happy group at the final whistle.
