The reasoning
Each academy gives him something different — one the day-in, day-out technical grind and match load, the other a higher-level environment and exposure. Together they covered a gap a single programme wasn't filling. The plan was never to run both forever; it was to borrow the best of each for a window that mattered.
The honest cost
There's no dressing it up: two fees, two kits, two commutes, two sets of tournament entries. It's the single biggest reason this season's bill is what it is. We keep asking the same question every couple of months — is the second one still adding something he couldn't get from the first — and we're prepared to stop the moment the answer is no.
